Writer.
Poet.

You interpret the world as it is
As it was
As it can never be

You see the strands of reality
Feel the calls and stories of people
From world’s that never were

That live within these people
These world’s
These universes that sing and dance
Behind those pretty eyes of yours.

Are we lucky?
Yes and no…

We are in that our characters never leave
And unlucky in as much that nobody will know them as truly as we know them.

These fantastic creatures that float between the strings of reality, popping through only in our minds
Our hearts
Our souls.

  1. really nice….
and one tidbit to elaborate on….
while it is true that the reader of good writing might not
“know them as truly as we know them”

keep in mind that sometimes the reader sees things that you magic never see about them – you know – because when writers give us characters – we engage and digest them and make them our own it is the writer’s gift to us – and in that sense adds one more part of the “lucky” or “blessed” you writers have – and as a reader I say “Thanks”

  2. I love this so much. Especially ‘These fantastic creatures that float between the strings of reality, popping through only in our minds.’
I had a discussion with a friend about a new fantasy novel I’m planning and she couldn’t believe all the people that lived in my head. I will take that as a compliment.
